Conchita Campbell
Conchita Campbell was born October 25th, 1995, in Vancouver, British Columbia. From the earliest stages of her development, she demonstrated to her family that she had something special. Conchita is certain of the path she longs to follow.
At the young age of eleven, Conchita Campbell exudes a natural born confidence and grace on-screen. She is capable of slipping into a broad range of roles so seamlessly and effortlessly that she has morphed into a much sought after commodity in the world of arts and entertainment. It is obvious that Conchita is a natural born star who will achieve many great roles in her lifetime.
Conchita is best known for her role ‘Maia Rutledge’ on The 4400 series. Now into the fourth season in the USA, The 4400 series tells the stories of 4,400 people who disappear over a period of fifty years, presumed either dead or missing, and all reappear at the exact same time. They return without memory of where they've been or what has happened, and all exhibit abilities, including superhuman strength, healing touch and clairvoyance. Conchita’s character, Maia, is the oldest 11-year-old you know. The first of the known abductees, she disappears in 1946 and returns, having not aged a day. Blessed with clairvoyance, Maia is often tortured by visions of the future. Most recently, Conchita was nominated for a 2007 SyFy Genre Award for 'Best Young Actor' for her work on THE 4400.
Conchita has had the opportunity to work with celebrity favorites like Christian Slater on the feature film ‘Pursued’; sharing moments with Peter Falk and Josh Hutcherson (Bridge to Terabithia), as her on-screen brother, in the MOW ‘Wilder Days’. Other feature film and television guest star appearances include ‘Bob the Butler’, ‘Cold Squad’, ‘Zixx-Level Two’ and ‘Just Cause’. Conchita’s most recent work includes the role of ‘Rachel’ in the hit comedy feature film ‘Scary Movie 4’ and a guest-star appearance in an episode of the CW series ‘Supernatural’.
Conchita dedicates herself to her passion of acting, but she is also completely committed to her academic and athletic development and enjoys being "the best" at whatever she takes on. She has already sampled victory as the recipient of several top honors related to dance, and has insisted to her mother that when they announced her dance team's win over the loud speaker at one of the competitions, she thought she heard the words, "and the Emmy goes to...” Perhaps what she heard was portendof things to come.
Conchita currently resides in Vancouver, BC. When she is not working on set, she loves to ski, dance, swim, walk her dog and just be a regular kid.
